Mulligan Valley Partners | Silicon Valley

Operating Partner practice for AI at enterprise, healthcare, and industrial scale.

Product and technology leadership at strategic inflection points. Operating Partner mandates with private equity and venture firms. Interim CPO, Chief AI Officer, and CIO roles at portfolio and growth-stage companies.

Where We Add Value

At strategic inflection points where AI, data, interoperability, and regulated operations intersect.

The pattern we see most often: eighteen months into an AI investment, a portfolio of pilots, and no credible answer to the CFO's question about ROI. The product works in one business unit and has never been generalized. Legal, product, and operations are working against each other instead of together. An incumbent leader is quietly blocking progress because the AI now encodes judgment they used to own.

These are operating problems, not technology problems. They require an operator with scar tissue, embedded in the room, not an advisor with a framework.

About

Christian Busch

Founder and Managing Partner

Christian Busch is a product and technology executive who builds and scales complex platforms at strategic inflection points, especially where AI, data, interoperability, and regulated operations intersect. Across leadership roles at Elevance Health, SAP, Cognizant, and in advisory work, he has turned emerging technologies into commercial platforms, new revenue streams, and measurable operating leverage.

His background spans healthcare AI, enterprise SaaS, IoT, NLP, and cloud platforms, with repeated success in zero-to-one product creation, platform repositioning, and cross-functional execution. At Elevance Health, he led AI/ML and interoperability platform work across utilization management, telehealth, and FHIR-based patient data at enterprise scale. At Cognizant, he helped turn around and scale a digital innovation practice serving Fortune 500 clients, growing it from pilot engagement to sixty million in annual revenue at sixty-five percent margin. At SAP, he invented and scaled new IoT and NLP platforms that helped establish the company as an early market leader in connected products and data-driven enterprise solutions, with the resulting product line reaching nine-figure ARR.

Busch has led global product, engineering, and cross-functional teams in both large enterprises and growth-stage environments. He mentors founders through Stanford Graduate School of Business Ignite and at leading Silicon Valley and German accelerators, advising startup CEOs across healthcare, medical technology, AI, and enterprise software. His angel portfolio companies have collectively raised more than $230M and achieved exits of more than $260M.

What Clients Say
Operating offices in several regions over the world, our company was seeking access to the mecca of technology, the Silicon Valley. MVP assisted us from the first steps, such as writing a realistic investment plan and helping perfect our sales pitches for the US. Working with MVP was a breeze, as they were always thinking one step ahead of the game.
Philipp Weirauch CEO & Founder, LogiMove
I would highly recommend working with Christian. His ability to talk deep technology and then switch to business implications is extremely impressive. His advice on what we should, or should not, do always felt like he just saved us considerable effort.
